Buchanan And Cain Seem To Think Little Of Blacks

When I first read a story with a headline about alleged presidential candidate Herman Cain saying that blacks voters have been brainwashed (into essentially not considering conservative/Republican perspectives) I shook my head.

Then, of course, it was no surprise that MSNBC's Pat Buchanan jumped to the defense of Cain to imply that blacks voters are being brainwashed (translation: not smart enough to make rational, fact-based decisions).

Does this mean that black voters not smart enough to make decisions as much as white voters are smart enough?

Apparently, to Cain and Buchanan, black voters can be brainwashed, but white voters vote based on what they believe is the right thing to do.

Good observation. That is the problem with Herman Cain and many of his black Republican brethren. They buy into the same ideologies and beliefs as white Republicans and go out of their way to distinguish themselves from other black people. Since when did being black and Republican make you special?

Herman Cain's comments are ironic. He often complains about the criticism he gets from other blacks because of his views, yet he seems to want all blacks to be conservative/Republican.

It's like his only usefulness to the right is to try and convert black people to Republican politics.
