Glenn Beck, the maniacal Fox News conservative personality who has taken great pleasure out of taking shots at black people, has made some ridiculous comparisons over the years.Here is an excerpt, from Media Matters for America, of Beck comparing himself to iconic figures Rosa Parks and Gandhi.
Beck compared himself to Rosa Parks, Gandhi. During the April 5 edition of his radio program, Beck said:
This man, Glenn Beck, is nuts. He is delusional and borders on being dangerous. Here is a man who has no respect for black people. He openly takes shots at all black people who don't fit his vision of what black people are supposed to be like (quiet and/or conservative).BECK: Let me tell you something. You are the key. Not me or people like me. But you and people like you. Millions of people like you. They're not afraid of me, they're afraid of you. Just like Gandhi. Just like Rosa Parks. It wasn't Rosa Parks, it was the millions of people that were inspired by Rosa Parks' non-movement. Rosa Parks wasn't a danger. The people who watched her and said, "Yeah, I'm with her. I'm not moving either." It's the people who sat at a counter -- a soda fountain counter. You think people were afraid of them? No. They were afraid of the people that those people inspired. Martin Luther King was just one man.
You see, what they're doing is they're saying, "Get up from the counter. You don't have a seat at this counter." Yes, you do. They're telling you, "Get to the back of the bus. You sit up here. You sit back there." No, I don't.
This guy thinks of himself as some kind of a civil rights leader.
He is nuts.

Uh, annihilation? I think that is a bit much. Actually, it is curiosity that (in part) prompts me to let such an unsubstantiated and baseless comment stand for the public to see.
Sadly, you probably are sincere and that makes the comment all the more disturbing.
I am quite used to hysterical charges that lack substance. I anticipated that when I put my name on this blog. I want people to see such hollow charges that fail to offer any proof and ignore the topic of discussion.
There is always some moron coming out attacking someone with no evidence.
When you say "shred you to pieces" that doesn't sound like an annihilation to you?
Sadly, you are the tragic figure.
It is your invective, your rhetoric, your hate speech that supplies the "proof." Exactly in the same way you use against others.
You specialize in the very bigotry you denounce, on the flimsiest of pretexts, in others.
If you do not want to have your standard used on you, then don't use it on others.
You've offered no proof of my "bigotry" in your comments. It's all a lot of talk with little substance. Sarah Palin has trouble backing up her talk, but at least she offers a lot more than what you've been able to bring to the table. I mean, if you're a supporter of Glenn Beck, then I am sorry if I hurt your feelings. Also, if you're down with Glenn Beck then you might want to go elsewhere. That is not the first time I have hammered him and it will not be the last.
The threatening annihilation part I still find quite amusing.
An anonymous person leaving unsubstantiated attacks on a personal blog is calling the blogger a tragic figure. I find that also quite amusing.
I am a bigot in the sense that I am intolerant of those who are racist.
Blogger has been down like all day.
Anyway. This individual Touch is so typical of the kinds of morons who are too lazy to go out and really right something of meaning. There is always some idiot who likes to step back from everything and take cheap shots at people with no facts, no proof and no evidence. This is the kind of guy who is probably abusive to his girlfriend, wife or boyfriend for no good reason other than to be a jacka$$.
It's all good anon. I get a few idiots on here every once in a while who like to mouth off and attack. It's no big deal. The few morons who come on here and try to attack me are a small price to pay for the privilege of giving my opinion. The fact that Touch is coming on here to fight with me just means that Touch, assuming he or she can read, is at least checking out the blog. That makes it worth it.
Beck is crazy.
Glenn Beck should be drug tested.
