Glenn Beck could just as well have said to his supporters, "Me at last, me at last, thank God almighty ... it's me at last."Glenn Beck, the far-right Fox News freak, held Beckstock this past weekend in Washington D.C. and delivered words that can best be characterized as "I Have A Scheme" for what it was worth when everything was said and done.
Here is how Beck might have closed his speech as he attempted to hijack the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. over the weekend for his own nefarious, self-promoting purposes:
When all of God's children...Yes, I am being satirical ... slightly
White ones and gently tanned ones...
Filthy rich and very rich ...
Conservative and far-right extremist...
Will be able to join hands and sing unto me in the words of that old right-wing spiritual ...
Me at last...
Me at last...
Thank God Almighty ...
It's me at last!

Nice satirical jabs on your part. Beck deserved every one of them. I used to feel sorry for Beck's followers. However, I don't anymore because there has been ample evidence showing that Beck is a fraud.
Malcolm and Sandy:
How does it feel that you and the members of the "Lampblack Yellow Journalism" cabal has focused more on Glenn Beck on August 28th than you have on the only rally that actually claimed to be a memorial for Dr King?
Malcolm your feelings of "sorrow" for the Beck supporters are wasted emotions on your part. If I were you I would instead focus on the students from the "Preparatory School For Colored Youth" who are complaining about the conditions in their school.
What is today known as "Dunbar High School" - where Sharpton demanded QUALITY EDUCATION for Black kids - was actually founded in 1870 under the name above. What was once the top rated public school for "colored children" is today yet another failing inner city school - despite having individuals who are favorable to you running the city and the school system.
Do you see - as long as you and Sandy bogusly focus on the wrong "enemy" this type of foolishness will continue in our community.
WTF? "Lampblack Yellow Journalism," ... uh ... LOL ... OK. I like the fact that you used the word "cabal" because it is far too underutilized as far as I'm concerned.
Glenn Beck tried to use Dr. King for his own self-promoting purposes and it was nothing short of disgusting. At first, I thought the man's mental stability is in question. Then, I thought about the thousands of nuts that came to D.C. to listen to him and wondered why anyone would allow all the nuts to be in one place at one time. The only place you'd find more nuts is in a Planters factory.
Once again, you stunningly oversimplify the issues confronting inner cities by simply blaming black people and so-called progressives.
Unlike you, I don't consider people enemies. I don't agree with people like Glenn Beck and I call him out on it. I think of him more as a misguided nut with a cult following than necessarily an enemy.
Constructive Feedback: I have some constructive feedback for you. You may want to brush up on your reading comprehension. Please note that I said I used to feel sorry for Beck's followers, meaning that I no longer do. The "Beckheads" have been warned. If they wanna follow him off a cliff, that's their business.
Malcolm:
I FULLY UNDERSTOOD YOUR COMMENT.
I merely observed that those who CLAIM to be focused on the permanent interests of Black people have spent an inordinate amount of time upon Beck with little mention about the fraud that took place at the rally that was conducted at the "Preparatory High School For Colored Youth".
Look at a sampling of "Progressives who are Black" blogs and make note of their last 10 posts.
I bet that some ENEMY TO PROGRESSIVES makes up the bulk of the comments rather than anything that is MATERIALLY damaging the Black community.
