Leave it to Sean Hannity, the Fox News (or one of them at least) fountain of misinformation, to take out of context comments from President Obama and portray him as having attacked Fox News or as being obsessed with Fox News (I think Hannity has both of these backward). News Hounds has a blog entry that lays out some of the many instances in which Fox News has attacked the president and pointed out just how hypocritical it is of Fox News, the home of conservative opinion and conservative-slanted perspectives on issues, to criticize him for being too critical or being obsessed. Perhaps this is an example of Fox News being able to dish it out but not being able to take it.
But, that is a secondary point.
The main point is this: President Obama was asked a very specific question by a reporter who implied that the media has been too easy on him. President Obama was calm and cool and did not attack Fox News (although I could hardly blame him if he had chosen to do so). He simply stated he has gotten a lot of negative attention (led primarily by Fox News) and that the press has not been all good to him. The president simply was responding directly to a question, and was far more fair and respectful to Fox News than that network has ever been to him.
