Time goes to the Fox News Web site and gets the transcripts of O'Reilly's ridiculous lie as he attacked Sen. Tom Coburn for his criticism of Fox News (Fox is with Republicans unless or until they say anything negative about Fox News).

It's too bad Coburn didn't have his facts in order or simply felt too overwhelmed to defend his accurate comments about health care fearmongering by Fox News.Then, last night Fox News's Bill O'Reilly raked Coburn over the coals for his comment about the network. O'Reilly said no one had ever appeared on Fox News and told viewers they would go to jail if they didn't buy health insurance. “We researched on Fox News if anybody had ever said you're going to jail if you don't buy health insurance. Nobody's ever said it.”
Like Coburn, I was pretty sure I'd heard exactly this assertion numerous times on Fox News, so I did a quick search of their transcripts.

Of course you are right BUT the MSM, continues to give him/them a pass. Only bloggers like you & other online sites, have taken up the bat against him. I wonder why it has taken them so long to do their job.

The MSM actually CRITICIZED Obama when he slammed them months ago.

Bill O'Reilly has really exposed himself with this latest controversy. Even though he was in a hole, he kept right on digging. It's comical that he refers to his show as "The No Spin Zone". Not surprisingly, the conservative blogs I read have been dead silent regarding Bill's lies about jail time for people who didn't buy health insurance.
It amazes me that it has taken MSM so long to catch on to what Bill O'Reilly is doing. He has been using falsehoods, misleading information and personal attacks as a foundation of his show for years and gotten away with it.
Bill O'Reilly's "No Spin Zone" was always fraudulent, but not he is looking just nutty with the way he tells falsehoods on television and then goes out of his way to back up statements he knows are flat out untrue. You are correct, Malcolm, in that conservative bloggers and media have been mostly silent on a blatant falsehood about people going to jail for not buying into health care.
