Gov. Sarah Palin (apparently we can’t sue her for going well above and beyond her 15 minutes of fame) is watching closely the treatment of Caroline Kennedy, who is being considered for the soon-to-be vacant United States Senate seat of Hillary Clinton, who is on her way to being named the U.S. Secretary of State.
Said Palin:“I’ve been interested to see how Caroline Kennedy will be handled and if she will be handled with kid gloves or if she will be under such a microscope. … It’s going to be interesting to see how that plays out and I think that as we watch that we will perhaps be able to prove that there is a class issue here also that was such a factor in the scrutiny of my candidacy versus, say, the scrutiny of what her candidacy may be.”
Palin still does not get how badly she tripped herself up by bombing so badly two high-profile interviews with Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric. And, it’s not like either Gibson or Couric peppered her with these hard questions. Couric actually soft-tossed a bunch of softballs at her that she could not have hit if Katie had set it up on a tee. Even Couric could not be as soft as Fox News conservative Sean Hannity was on Palin. Sarah, who was last seen standing in front of a turkey in the process of being slaughtered (perhaps symbolic of the McCain-Palin campaign), still simply does not get it, and maybe she never will. Hopefully the Republicans will be dumb enough to nominate her once again.
