Brian Kilmeade of the less-than-stellar Fox and Friends show, once again tried to imply that a Democrat (in this case Caroline Kennedy, who may be up for the United States Senate seat that currently belongs to Hillary Clinton, the soon-to-be secretary of state) may not be a great supporter of the United States of America.
Here is the exchange as documented by Media Matters for America:
GRETCHEN CARLSON (co-host): I believe Caroline Kennedy will become the next senator from New York.
DOOCY: I mean, it sounds like she did call up and speak to the governor of the Empire State of New York, David Paterson, within the last week or so, to essentially tell him, OK, these are my qualifications. And what she said was that she’s been involved in charity work, education, and she is a constitutional lawyer. Now Hillary Clinton’s critic — supporters rather –
KILMEADE: Is that American Constitution?
DOOCY: I’m hoping.
KILMEADE: Oh, OK.
DOOCY: Sure — runs in the family. Hillary’s supporters say, “What’s going on with this? She’s got no experience.”
Nice, Kilmeade again cheap shots a Democrat. But, of course he and others on Fox contend it’s fair. Maybe it is fair: They smear all Democrats … not just a few here and there.
