Recently, entertainer Cher made some comments about the direction she feels the Republican Party is going. She also questioned why anyone would want to join the party:
“You know what? I try to be charitable and there are some really good Republicans, but I just don’t understand how anyone would want to be a Republican,” she told CNSNews.com. “If you’re poor, if you’re any kind of minority – gay, black, Latino, anything. If you’re not a rich, born-again Christian, I don’t get it.”
This made Bill O’Reilly, the face of Fox News, more than a little irritated. So, what does O’Reilly do when he is upset at someone: he goes into child mode and resorts to name calling. O’Reilly went on to label Cher “a pinhead” on one of his recent shows. There really was nothing new in the things that Cher said, but since she is a celebrity she drew the ire of Bill O’Reilly … chief defender of the Republican faith (he may be co-holder of that title with Sean Hannityand Rush Limbaugh). It was hilarious listening to Bill O’Reilly try to position himself as “independent.” Yeah, right.
