Republicans Have Some Nerve

After eight years of running up the deficit, wiping out a budget surplus, getting us into war in Afghanistan, getting us into war in Iraq, damaging our civil liberties, torture of prisoners, scandals involving former vice president Dick Cheney, scandals involving former president George W. Bush, running the once-strong leader reputation of the United States into the ground worldwide, damaging alliances with fellow world powers, creating an almost catastrophic economic mess, overseeing a monumental housing crisis mess and more, Republicans have the audacity to say after Barack Obama’s first month as president:

It’s the one-month anniversary of President Obama’s swearing-in, and not surprisingly the Republican National Committee is out with its’ verdict: It’s been “disappointing.”
“Obama’s first month has been marked by wasteful spending, failed bipartisanship, and questionable ethics,” the RNC said in a document circulated to reporters.
The RNC specifically faults the new president for failing to garner a significant amount of GOP votes for his massive stimulus plan, despite pledges of bipartisanship during the presidential campaign.

Republicans have some nerve. I guess things were just so great with the last president we just had. It would be laughable were it not insulting to hear Republicans accuse anyone of failed bipartisanship, questionable ethics and wasteful spending. Seriously, Republicans need psychological evaluations. Come see me when President Obama has started wars in two different countries, damaged our worldwide reputation, turn economic prosperity into economic despair, destroy the reputation of the greatest nation the world has ever known or do anything else as badly as President George W. Bush did. Maybe if Republicans had been as hard on President Bush this early in his presidency things may not have spiraled so badly out of control in this country.
