Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn is one name on a growing list of names who believe it is time for Sen. Roland Burris to check out. Quinn said as much recently, and it’s difficult to argue.
“At this time we have a senator who has a cloud over his head,” Quinn said as quoted by CNN. “It’s time (for Burris) to put the interest of the people of the land of Lincoln ahead of his own and step aside and resign from office.”
Sen. Burris has too many controversies attached to his name that it is apparent he will be ineffective as a senator and probably needs to step aside in favor of someone who can get business done for the people of Illinois.
