The New York Post’s violent and racist cartoon has justifiably drawn outrage and ignited protests all over the nation. But, conservative extremists like Michelle Malkin and others are doing everything they can to turn one of the perpetrators of this racist act and crime against journalistic integrity into the victim.
Wrote Malkin in one of her blog postings:
The only people “offended by the image” of the crazed cartoon chimp — who clearly symbolized the crazed lawmakers on the Hill who passed the stimulus in a frenzy — are the opportunists.
No apology is due to anyone except cartoonist Delonas, whose character has been smeared by the manufacturers of grievances demanding his head.
Too many in the MSM continue to treat Sharpton as an entertaining clown, instead of the rabid hound he has always been. (”Hound.” Is that acceptable?)
This is the moral of the story: Submission to racial intimidation yields only more racial intimidation. You don’t get the monkey off your back by feeding it.
Yeah, I said “get the monkey off your back.”
Sue me.
We don’t need to nor want to sue you. In fact, we like you just the way you are because you ultimately will drive the moderates who prefer to remain politically neutral away from Republican extremism and to more closely align with Democrats. Although, stating that “No apology is due to anyone except cartoonist (Sean) Delonas, whose character has been smeared by the manufacturers of grievances demanding his head” is laughable. Delonas smeared his own character (what character he had based on previous controversial cartoons he has drawn). he smeared his own character by being ignorant in the way he drew the cartoon and being incomprehensibly ignorant (along with the culturally-challenged morons at the New York Post who ran this thing) to how his actions would be perceived.
