Gov. Sarah Palin Gives A Shout Out to “Pro American” Areas Of This Great Nation … Um, What?

So, Gov. Sarah Palin, if there are pro-American areas of the United States then where exactly are the anti-American geographic areas of the nation? Here are the words of the painfully and frighteningly underqualified Gov. Palin, “We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. We believe” - here the audience interrupted Palin with applause and cheers - “We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation. This is where we find the kindness and the goodness and the courage of everyday Americans. Those who are running our factories and teaching our kids and growing our food and are fighting our wars for us. Those who are protecting us in uniform. Those who are protecting the virtues of freedom.” Besides even the obvious stupidity we see another revelation of the effort to paint Sen. Barack Obama as anti-American. There is a reason McCain-Palin rallies have people chanting “U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A.” even though we’re all Americans. It is part of a concerted effort to try and paint Sen. Barack Obama as “not one of us” and, um (borrowed from Gov. Palin), “not really pro-American.” Sen. McCain deserves to lose this race if, for no other reason, the chilling reality that Gov. Palin could possibly become president of the United States of American. She is quite simply ill-equipped for that kind of responsibility.
